ABOUT THE ANGLICAN COUNCIL WORLDWIDE ™
The Anglican Council and Global South Communion are also known as the
Worldwide Federation of Confessing Anglicans (WFCA)— We
represent a worldwide movement of orthodox Anglican provinces committed to biblical faithfulness, historic
doctrine, and global mission, uniting churches across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas in a
shared commitment to the authority of Scripture, the classical Anglican formularies, and the renewal of the
Anglican tradition.
With over 100 Million members in over 150 countries, the Anglican Council
represents all dedicated Anglicans Worldwide. We maintain a historic and traditional embrace of Anglican
traditions.
Rooted in the Thirty‑Nine Articles, the Book of Common Prayer, and
the Apostolic Succession Declaration, this fellowship provides spiritual leadership, synodical guidance, and a
clear confessional identity for Anglicans seeking doctrinal clarity and ecclesial integrity in a time of global
realignment. Through collaborative mission, episcopal oversight, theological fidelity, and a vibrant majority‑world
witness, the Anglican Council and Global South Communion work to strengthen discipleship, church planting,
humanitarian outreach, and the global proclamation of the Gospel.
The Chancellor of the Anglican Church is the defacto leader of the Anglican
Council.
